  14. I recently purchase an Aspen 28.8 modem and I am having trouble wit it. I 
  15. have been back and forth with Aspen "tech support" and have tried the 
  16. gamit of init strings. The modem has been back to Aspen for check-out and 
  17. I just received it back(Aspen says it is good but has since modified it). 
  18. The trouble I am having is that it frequently hangs up (during file 
  19. transfers and net surfing) and I have to close down and start all over 
  20. again. When I close the trumpet winsock, the modem does hang up but there 
  21. is a lot of garbage there before it does hang up.

  23. I was wondering if anyone else was having similar problems with their 
  24. Aspen modems and what could be done to aleviate this problem. I am about 
  25. to throw this pile of junk away and get a modem that does work (I have 
  26. tried a Supra Express in my computer and it works great, so I know its 
  27. not a problem with my computer).
